Come and join me at An Grianán, home of the Irish Countrywomen’s Association. It’s a glorious 18th century house that has been transformed into a cultural and educational centre. Set in the beautiful rolling hills of the Boyne Valley,
Get away from it all in a beautiful part of Ireland while practicing your painting skills. It’s a perfect way to spend a weekend -and get some experience painting en plein air with guidance from me.
Enjoy good food, great company and lots of fresh air and home comforts.
Mediums: Oils or acrylics paint. Drawing materials of your choice. You will need to supply your own materials. I will supply you with a list of what you need.Painting level: The course is suitable for all levels but please be aware that a basic level of drawing & painting techniques is needed.

The TOTAL cost for painting attendees is €350 (Non-painting partners €300).

What you will need for painting
- A plein air easel (or pochade-box easel).
- Brushes
- Paints Oils or acrylics
- Canvases (canvas boards or stretched canvases, keep them small to medium size. No bigger than A3).
- Sketchbook and soft pencils/charcoal/preferred drawing material
- Rags
- Solvent
- Linseed Oil
- A set of 2 dippers for your solvent/oil
- A palette -suitable for outdoor work (A tear-off palette might be unwieldy)
- Baby-wipes
- If you’re apt to get tired standing, bring a very light stool -like an angler’s stool.
- Remember to bring warm clothes that you don’t mind getting paint on!
