I never tire of saying that this man is a master and that he truly teaches how to paint without holding anything back. God bless you, Kevin. Keep it up!
Hi Kevin. I just want to thank you for a great class this evening. It was very informative and relaxing. We learnt a lot. I do hope attend many more of your Zoom painting sessions. Many thanks.
You master glass painting, Kevin: THANK YOU for another excellent tutorial. I find it challenging to place strokes with paint and avoid blending. You explain how you see small areas of color, and place a brushstroke leaving it. FANTASTIC. I must learn to “see”.
I love Kevin’s online demonstrations. I live too far from the physical classes to attend often and these really solve that problem. The demonstrations are a perfect way to pick up new techniques and the Q/As at the end of the classes are very informative.
Excellent Kevin, really appreciate these long videos of the process, it really helps explain a lot of things for me.
Online Painting Demonstrations on Zoom
These live online painting demonstrations on Zoom offer the chance to watch an oil painting develop in real time while gaining insight into my creative process. Each session takes place live, allowing you to experience the flow of a painting from start to finish, wherever you are in the world.
The demonstrations focus primarily on oil painting, often exploring still life subjects, with an emphasis on colour, composition, light, and expressive brushwork.
How the Zoom Painting Demos Work
Each Zoom demonstration lasts approximately 1.5 hours. I begin by introducing the subject and materials, then paint continuously while explaining my decisions as they happen. This includes discussion of colour mixing, composition, values, and how to keep a painting fresh and lively.
Because the sessions are live, you’re not just watching a finished result — you’re seeing the thinking behind the painting.
Each demonstration concludes with a live Q&A, where participants can ask questions about technique, materials, or general painting practice.
Who These Demonstrations Are For
These online demos are suitable for all levels, from beginners to more experienced painters. You can paint along, take notes, or simply watch and observe — whatever suits your learning style.

Spaces are limited, so book early to avoid missing out!
BOOK MY PLACE!You can paint along if you wish but I think the best approach would be to observe and jot down questions as you think of them. There will be a Q/A at the end, so you can ask me anything then. Remember there are NO silly questions: This event is aimed at beginners to intermediate painters.
Don’t forget, I’m a fast painter – I have to be in order to allow these demos to be accessible. If you can’t keep up with what I’m doing, you’ll always have the opportunity to review the whole demonstration in the recording for a whole week afterwards. I’ll send you the link the following day as it becomes available.
You can join these classes with most devices. You can use your Windows or Mac desktop PC or your iPad / or Android tablets. YOu could even use your smartphone, though the screen might be too small to get the best out of the video.
All you need is the Zoom link which will be sent to you automatically when you register for the class.
One more thing you could have is a set of headphones or earbuds. It’s not vital; it just prevents noisy feedback loops when you’re all unmuted during the Q/A ssession. If you don’t, not to worry; Zoom seems to handle extraneous noise very well.
