Stuck indoors for Culture Night? Step into the magic of an impressionist garden! In this live Zoom demonstration, I’ll be painting a luminous figure surrounded by blossoms and greenery — inspired by Monet’s enchanting style. Together, we’ll explore how to capture sunlight in soft, glowing pastel colours, creating a sense of warmth and atmosphere on the canvas.

As I paint, I’ll talk you through each stage — not just what I’m doing, but why — so you can take away practical insights to use in your own work. You’ll receive the photographic reference image in advance, but the focus of this event is watching, absorbing, and enjoying the process. You can always revisit the painting yourself afterwards, at your own pace.

Once you book, you’ll be sent the Zoom access URL.

What will I need?

If you like, you can paint along with me as you’ll get the photographic reference by email ahead of the event. However, I think it’s best to just watch; you’ll get more out of it.

If you have a set of earphones or headphones, that might help with the clarity of sound.
