Join me live on Zoom for a relaxed and inspiring oil painting demonstration. I’ll be painting a seated figure in the style of the great Edward Hopper. You’ll see my full process in real time, with tips on colour mixing, depth and brushwork. Perfect for all levels — paint along or simply watch and enjoy the journey. 🎨
A 1.5-hour Zoom painting demonstration where I’ll create an urban landscape painting in oils, step by step, in the formal, still style of the iconic American . artist, Edward Hopper.

In this live demo, you’ll watch the entire painting unfold — from the first loose block-in to the final colour accents. I’ll talk through my decisions as I work, sharing how I approach:
Building strong compositions
Choosing and mixing expressive colour
Keeping brushwork fresh and confident
Creating light, atmosphere, and harmony in a figure painting

This session is ideal for painters who want to loosen up, gain confidence with colour, and better understand the thinking behind the painting, not just the technique.
The demonstration will conclude with an interactive Q&A, so you’ll have the chance to ask questions about materials, process, colour mixing, or anything that comes up during the demo.

What will I need?
If you like, you can paint along with me as you’ll get the photographic reference by email ahead of the event. However, I think it’s best to just watch; you’ll get more out of it.
If you have a set of earphones or headphones, that might help with the clarity of sound.
